I often wonder on Valentine's day why. Why do some of us that don't have or can't be with the one that gets our motors running feel like they are less because they aren't a couple? Doesn't mean someone or several someones don't love us in their own ways. Our friends love us, our pets love us, if we've done it right our kids & siblings love us.
Did I get flowers & sweets today delivered to the door? Nope, but I got some hugs via PM here & was awakened by my best friend with a text of a Valentine cookie. I had an extra long phone call last night with the man that makes my tummy flutter. I had some laughs with family today, a lot of them in early morning status here.
Its a great blessing to have that certain someone, but it's no less grand to have that group of someones as well. So the next time you wonder why on a day like this, wonder why you don't feel like the luckiest person on earth because you do have love from those that really care. Shoot I love ya & I think you're a goober most of the time. (Like I was gonna be all mushy & serious for the entire blog).
Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll surprise myself with a gooey chocolate chip cookie & some milk. I loves me some me
