Well here I am again with news from the doctors that I went to see last Thursday.
My Thyroid check is ok and my meds are to remain the same. So that's one good thing
As for my MS symptoms (AND THAT IS WHAT i AM GOING TO CALL THEM UNTIL i KNOW OTHERWISE FOR SURE) well, think the jury is still out on that one, but my doctor seems to be convinced that it isnt MS just my menopause that is causing my hotness, light headedness and affecting my vision (means im getting old and decepid- lol). And she still seems to think that I have a trapped nerve that is causing my muscles to knot in my left arm and my numbness and tingly things in my left hand and fingers also could be affecting my wobbly walk.
She is prescribing me with a drug called NEURONTIN generic name is (GABOPENTIN) apparently this is for NEUROPATHY which would be for the muscle spasms and numbness, these wont take effect until about 4-6 weeks time and she is hoping that these will help me.
She also suggests that I go and see a Chiropractor to work on my spine and neck and shoulder the trapped nerve should be in one of those areas, also she is going to refer me to a Physical Therapist that can help me with proper excercise for my arms and shoulders and back etc.
Seems at last I may be getting somewhere (but MS still hasnt been removed) trying all these other options do make me feel better about myself and the future.
On the down side of things I have put on 5lb in just under a year. All that excercise I have been doing and I have gone down a bra size is just strange - lol.
The Doctor did say for me to change my excercise maybe do eliptical 1 day - then walk the next day (or treadmill) then maybe the next day do weights, and then eliptical wearing some wrist weights - she said muscles weigh more than fat (well i knew that) and she seems to think i have gained muscle and not fat, as for me battling my Thyroid makes it harder and longer for me to burn fat off therefore she suggests I have 1200 - 1500 calories a day and eat 4-6 times a day and not 3. (goodness Rocky says he dosent think im eating enough and i think i eat too much) I cant win - lol.
So as from next week i shall try all this and see what happens (will give me a chance to work out my calories and food for the days).
Anyway thats the update for now and will keep you informed of how everything is going ( i will try weekly but i just forget just like i forget to eat during the day sometimes)
