Boeing 737-Max
Once they solve the software issue on the Boeing 737-Max, will you fly on it?

I personally will not.

Once the problems are fixed, I would fly on it as much as I would fly on any other jet airliner.

Obviously, there are software-based problems, but if the plane itself were completely unsafe, there would have been numerous crashes in the US, where so far the plane has had an excellent flying record.

One issue that was mentioned on the radio here a couple days ago is that the airlines apparently insisted that they do not want new planes that take pilots time to be retrained to fly. Hence, the 737 was a grafting of new technology onto an older designed airframe, with the intent that pilots need less training to fly it.

Obviously, changes need to be made to that attitude, if it actually is the case. The mantra should always be more training, not less.
