but wanted to keep one article of clothing,
what would you pick?
id go with a onesie (jumpsuit)

Onesie is a good choice. I suppose gloves wouldn't be, unless you want to steal some clothes later on and not leave any fingerprints.

As cloths should basically be considered as a protection against adverse weather to the human body, I I would choose a thick hooded thermal padded coat with leg extenders.

Depends on the weather, in the summer I tend to wear nothing. Then again I live somewhere where neighbours don't come calling and the dogs give me plenty of warning if anyone is about.
If I had to choose just one piece though, I'd say a hoody with a high if not total natural fibre blend. Can't be doing with plastic sweat

Jumpsuit all the way and since we are only limited in our clothing then I can choose shoes since they are not an article of clothing oh and a hat to keep the sun of my head.
