listening to BLACK SABBATH RIGHT NOW...

Zimmer is certainly the most prolific film composer at the moment, but I've always thought he was just a little overrated. It could just be that I'm a little irritated how many other composers are clearly trying to sound exactly like him. It's become that generic action movie score.

However, the Inception soundtrack IS pretty incredible. "Time" made me tear up a bit the first time I listened to it. And there's certainly something to be said for the influence he's had on his contemporaries.

Even though Zimmer didn't write it, that song "Mind Heist" from the trailer was really catchy too.
