Windows 10 icon ?
Anyone help me try to remove that 'Get Windows 10' icon from my laptop, I now have to hold down the power button to switch off my lap top, if it's allowed to power down by itself it will load Windows 10 using 3GB of my data and I'm more than happy with Windows 7 !

KB3035583
KB3035583, is the pest ohmy

You need to go to Windows Update, search for KB3035583, in Installed updates by "View Update History" and then Delete it. This late in the game it wont be on the top and easy to find.

Then Run windows Update, if KB3035583 reappears you then select the "Hide" option on that update, or it will keep coming back.

Pest Extermination complete. smoke

It appears that Microsoft thinks that I'm unhappy with using Windows 7 and they should force me into going over to Windows 10, I make that choice, NOT them !

It now appears the I MUST have Windows 10 to keep my Windows Live Mail in operation as the Windows 7 Hotmail service will otherwise be no longer available to me !

Well, they seem to want to clean out the cupboard'
And make everyone know that Win 10 is the state of the art.
Main new computer here is on Win 10 now. XP can't be upgraded,it's only from 7 to 10, although my supplier can return it to 7 if I want to.
