It is said that red poppies and Memorial Day are synced because after the carnage of World War I that those poppies were the first to regrow.

True. Poppies are for the date and time 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Yes, battlegrounds like Flanders Field and Villiers Bretineux (sp) could rejuvenate and poppies grew when the bombs and guns fell silent.
