Cold Shoulder to Tourism.
So, Europe has a trend right now of NOT WELCOME for tourists.

Any thoughts on this trend?

$$$$ repercussions from it?

Will it last?

You need to change your sources.

Europe is a continent comprising 40+ countries and most have a very healthy tourism industry. Maybe give it a try and report back.

Changing sources won't help with the narrative being pushed. You know it's that silly thing called alternative facts.

As with many things generalized
i believe it is some overcrowded tourist spots that are dealing with a limit crises
where it is also up to their gouvernment to maybe look over the situation
of course there are many town/city/villages that survives thanks to tourism,
not sure why mericans would be bothered??
''In 2023, 7.1% of the international tourists where from North America''
its not like people are queing to visit north of Europe
LOL

Sounds reasonable.

I'm amazed that 7.1% of international tourists are American. Most Americans probably can't afford to travel to the EU or other places.

I haven't heard of any anti-American or anti-tourism talk from the EU. But I have been hearing about some economic difficulties over there, though.

Indeed, turns out it wasn’t a uniquely American thing and entirely Biden’s fault after all.

The USA used to be known as the melting pot, you should look it up. There's not many people who have actual roots here, most of us are dependents of immigrants. It's rather fascinating.

Melting Pot yes but outside of 🇺🇲, where else is that Pot?

The idea of 🇺🇲 may be global but actual Americans originate in 🇺🇲.

The bottom line here is that incidents of running off tourists (from 🇺🇲 and elsewhere) are happening in Europe.

Europe complains about 🇺🇲 but wants its $$ only.

Thus, if Europe does not want 🇺🇲 tourists + demands from 🇺🇲 for all-things NATO. So, slap the coming tariffs on, see that Americans visit other areas in the world, and end 🇺🇲 in NATO then that can be arranged and hopefully will too. If it does come about though how loud will the howling be??????

So let's assess the evidence, shall we? We have your undisclosed sources and the experience of ILP's relatives who went to Poland. Slam dunk ... not LOL

As for demanding all things NATO from you? You do realise that the US was instrumental its formation? I found this on the NATO website, explaining its three purposes: deterring Soviet expansionism, forbidding the revival of nationalist militarism in Europe through a strong North American presence on the continent, and encouraging European political integration. I assume America agreed to this before signing.

Good luck with the Trump Tariffs, they're going to hurt Americans far more than the rest of us. Might not affect the price of eggs or gas, but all imports will cost you a whole lot more. Of course, you can buy American instead, just as you can now. But you don't, because it's more expensive. For now.

BTW, do you have an opinion on the unconditional supply of xxxxxxxxxxx to Israel?

NATO had a legitimate reason to form and exist but has now served its purpose and all 🇺🇲 participation in it should come to an end. It is long past time to close everything 🇺🇲 in Europe militarily and focus on trade, commerce, culture and there can still be arms sales too.

Tariffs will likely actually hurt the EU way worse than 🇺🇲. Free Trade is done, thankfully, and now the focus is Globalization with Fair Trade. The goal should be the Western Hemisphere + Pacific Rim + India, we will see but hopefully those areas will become the Top 3 for 🇺🇲. Communist China has no real future and whether it is abandonment or containment determining solutions that completely isolate China should be the goal. Give way to how to see the communists there fall and nothing else.

I think one should be able to document that assertion as arming Israel keeps the peace.

Please list just one grand achievement by anyone Palestinian and why that the Arab nations refuse to help them?

Is the US education system really THAT bad? Those countries are part of South AMERICA, just as the USA is part of North AMERICA (along with Canada and Mexico). Therefore Brazilians are South AMERICANS, just as US citizens are North AMERICANS.

Lots seem to have different views as to what Europe is.
Russia is not a part of Europe just to start with.
Even,...Is The UK a part of Europe ?

We escaped the EU, who still wants to be The United States Of Europe.
It was ok when we were just a part of a Economic Union.
