Pics loose the categories

I have quite some pics that don‘t have a category any more. I am sure to have given them one. I also experienced in the past that during the checking process the category has been changed by the moderators. Even those categories seem to disappear on my pics. Is there any explanation for that?

When I went to Photo Manager the first time today the first 20 pics didn‘t have a category. After I read your reply I revisited the Manager and then the categories are back. No idea what‘s going on. Thanks for looking into this!
