Tuesday, October 23, 2007, 12:29:39 AM- my vacation
Some of you know that I have taken a trip to Cleveland, Ohio. I am having a blast. The weather has been in the eighties (25 C or so). I watched game seven of the american league playoff, I wanted the Indians to win, damn. So I'm watching the game from the hotel bar and about the seventh inning I hear last call. I'm like wtf. It's as if I am at the game and they stop beer sales in the seventh inning. The hotel bar closes at 11 pm on sunday nights. The bar closed before the game ended but that was ok 'cause the Indians were gonna lose anyway. I am use to bars being open till 3 am. Today I spent most of my time at the rock and roll hall of fame. This was my third visit to the rockhall. Later on I had dinner with bigtitter. We had a great time. She is a wonderful young lady. I took alot of pics including one of bigtitter and I so stay tuned. 2k exits this blog to Ian Hunters "Cleveland Rocks"

Thursday, September 27, 2007, 10:23:09 PM- todays chuckle.... do the math
A husband wrote a letter to his wife and left it on the kitchen table. It said you will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 54 years old can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and I value you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter,I hope that you will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with my 18 year old secretary at a hotel. Please don't be upset, I will be home before midnight. Later when the husband came home he found the following letter... I recieved your letter and thank you for your honesty about my being 54 years old. As you know I am a math teacher at the local college. I would like to inform you that while you read this,I will be at another hotel with Michael, one of my students, who is also the assistant tennis coach. He is young, virile, and like your secretary is 18 years old. As a successful bussinessman who has an excellent knowledge of math, you will understand that we are in the same situation although with one small differnce.....18 goes into 54 alot more than 54 goes into 18, therefore I will not be home until sometime late tommorow.

Monday, July 30, 2007, 11:08:49 PM- crossroads guitar festival
I was lucky enough to attend Eric Claptons guitar festival on Saturday. I wasn't sure if I was going to find a ticket. Tickets for this popular event sold out in minutes. I did not get one. I checked with my ticket broker and he wanted 4X the price. 400 dollars is to much for a concert. I logged online on the ticket site friday night and low and behold I found a ticket available. It turned out to be a great seat. It must have been held back for promotional reasons that went unclaimed. Then along comes lucky 2k. The concert was one of the best I have ever seen ( I have seen over 400 shows). What a line up, Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck,Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughn,Vince Gill,B.B. King, Derek Trucks,Johnny Winter,Cheryl Crow,Steve Winwood,Willie Nelson, yes 2k left very happy. 2k exits his blog to any version of "sweet home Chicago"

Sunday, February 18, 2007, 6:54:08 PM- the day the music died
Yes I am once again stepping into the "way back" machine to enjoy some music from a long time ago (actually before my time). To those who are not familar with the day the music died, it is when Buddy Holly, The big Bopper, and richie Valens died in a plane crash. Many musicians were influenced by buddy, the stones did "Not Fade Away", the beatles did "Words of Love" linda Ronstadt did "It's so Easy", and Blind Faith did "Well Alright". Last night I went to a live stage performance of "The Buddy Holly story". I really enjoyed the show. The play of course leads up to the events of february 3, 1959. Buddy was only 19 when he was given his first record contact. Buddy had so much talent at an early age. The play shows times at recording sessions where Buddy would butt heads with the record execs (Buddy was very stubborn). There were scenes of him playing live. Even in chat the other day Buddy's name came up, I am impressed that his legacy will not die. I even asked some of the younger people from outside of the usa if they knew who Buddy was and everyone said they did. I really had a good time watching "The Buddy Holly Story"

The US surpeme court ruled against having a nativity scene in Washington, D.C. This was not for religious reasons. They couldn't find three wise men and a virgin.

Friday, December 22, 2006, 12:17:35 AM- Christmas around the world
Recenty I went to the local library and noticed a display of "Christmas around the world". I found this fascinating. This is one holiday that we all celebrate one way or another. I find that each country has it's own way of celebrating. I discovered that Austraila was most interesting. The captions read that they leave biscuits and milk or beer for santa claus as well as water for the six white boomers. So to my Austraila friends I say "Gupok vee rowal". Even in Scotland they leave a glass of wiskey and some mince pie. To my Scotland friends I say "Nollaig Chridhell". To my friends in Spain I say "Feliz Navidad". To my friends in Germany "Frohilice Weihnactin" I see that England's vision of Christmas was stolen by the americans ( hey I didn't start the fire). So I say to my England friends "Merry Christmas". To my friends in Canada "Joyeux Noel". Last I would like to wish all my friends in the usa a "Merry Christmas" 2k exits this blog to Bruce Spingteens "Merry Christmas baby"

I would like to wish a happy thanksgiving to all my fellow americans. First I am thankful to be alive. In the past 13 months I have lost 2 friends . Secondly I am thankful for all the naked people here at NN. This IS the best site and I have met some great people here. Today I will be spending the day with my friend Lory and her family- it should be a good day and the temperature will be 60 F or 15 C. I hope everyone has a good day too.
