I just wanted to share a couple of photos of the new addition to mine and freek’s family. Her name is Geisha and she is a 12 week old female Shar Pei. She is such a good puppy and smart too (taught her how to sit and lie down already). She is totally potty trained and not one accident in the 3 weeks we have had her. To say that we “love her to pieces” would be an understatement. She does, however, love to chew on skin, in particular, mine! It must be the sweetness of me that she loves so much. No matter the amount of chew toys we buy, nothing tastes as good as my hands and fingers (we will down play her biting my nipple through my shirt the other day and it feeling like, what I am sure would be similar to a nipple piercing). But that’s ok, she’s our girl and we love her.
Last weekend, we came close to losing our girl. She fell very ill and was admitted to vet ICU hospital. After many hours of tests and waiting, we found out that she has a genetic disease (Shar Pei Fever) and, although there could be other episodes throughout her life, we now know what to look for and to get her to vet immediately. There is a quality of life we must adhere to for her and we are committed to that. That’s ok, she’s our girl and we love her.
She’s not just our pet, she’s family…Unconditional, unadulterated love, what’s not to love?

P.S. She’s on the mend and getting back to her mischievous self.

ohhh shes beautiful! Kinda looks a lil like freek in the eyes ;) Glad she is getting better..wishing you much happiness with your bundle of joy!

ok two things, as the dogfather of this doggie, i have to say she is 1 cute and dont scare me like this freek sent me a message that scared me when i read it but i glad she is ok now.

Well that is true northern , she does have my eyes and my ears too . There's always hope for a rough old head like mine if women find wrinkle dogs cute :)

Adorbs!!! Oh god, that puppy nipping... thank god they are so cute... It's really the only thing that gets them by at that stage. Lol Congrats on your cute little fur ball!!! Xo
