Damn. Diet time again. I am extremely heavy. About a month and a half ago I was 370 pounds. Over the past month and a half I have lost about 20 pounds, but that is just a start. I say 370 pounds, but that is not necessarily as bad as it sounds. Yes, it is bad any way you look at it, but I have had no problems tying my shoes. No problem picking up a coin from the floor unless my back is bothering. No problem sitting or standing or walking. Just waaaayyyy too heavy. Okay, I am trying. Keep in mind that if a drug addict wants to quit his drug he can go cold turkey. If I want to lose weight, I can’t go cold turkey, it will cause other major health problems. I have to merely cut back. Imagine a heroin addict “just cutting back.” It’s not going to happen. How about a cigaret smoker “just cutting back?” Right. It will work for a week or two at the most. Can an alcoholic “just cut back?” That is one of the things the experts say, that just one drink will very likely cause you to fall off the wagon. But that is all that fat people can do, “just cut back.” Going cold turkey can actually be fatal.
Okay, I was 370 lbs in June but have held steady at about 350 for maybe about two weeks now. That’s a start, but obviously I have to keep going. So what is holding me back? Beer maybe? I try to keep my beer consumption to twice a week. So what is my problem? It must be the carbohydrates, protein and fat. It can’t be the water, so it must be the above. Since I can’t go cold turkey, I will have to grit my teeth and think of the hot women that ignore me because of my weight. Maybe I can do it. Maybe. If you know a fat person, you might know what I am whining about. But I will try.
