Some women just push my buttons.
I can’t predict just who and why, but sometimes there’s a sort of chemistry that develops very early on with some people that make you feel like you’ve known them for a long time. Sort of a long-time lover/buddy feel that happens soon after meeting.
Of course it’s related to finding the other person attractive, but it’s more than that. I don’t get this feeling from women that I casually notice. It’s related to personality as well as physical attractiveness, but, then again, I think the two go hand-in-hand.
As I get a little older (I’m in my early 40’s), I find myself paying much more attention to a woman’s sexiness than to just her vital statistics. And by sexiness I mean intelligence, wit, sense of adventure, ability to titillate and flirt, sense of joy. All of these combine to create the sexual persona of the other person. And if any of them is missing, I find the person flawed to some extent.
Of course none of this is planned. It’s not like there’s some big sexual college interview. (“Hmmmm, your tits and tan GPA are pretty good, but we wish you were a little more well-rounded in the sense of humor area. We’ll call you…”
It’s something that, I suppose, has always gone on, but now I’m becoming more aware of it and its effect on my relationships.
Any thoughts?
