I'm a 66yo divorced man originally from the Northeast in NYC and Boston who has been living in Metro Phoenix, AZ since 2013. I'm fully retired on Federal Disability, but my concussion 17 years ago didn't rob me of anything except the occasional need to concentrate less. For several years I was unable to read a book to the end, so became a fan of newspapers online. Eventually, my ability to keep reading returned, which was a nice gift. My advice to all is to NEVER bump your head, ESPECIALLY HARD, because: a) It HURTS! b) It can present significant challenges going forward should you get injured. I was *very* fortunate; and c) It can change your life in under 30 seconds. I had an accident stepping off a commuter rail train in Boston, and came to in an ambulance. Except for a brief period after several weeks of recuperating, I didn't work again. Life went on, so I did too, and I've been doing my best to keep up since.
