Monday, September 19, 2005, 10:58:06 AM- Monday Mornings.....
Wow, my boss was obviously bored over the weekend. I've come in to a pile of work on my desk and 10 emails from him about everything from getting prices for his holiday next year to contacting clients about shipping insurance.. Just to make sure, he's now phoned me for the 4th time in 2 hours - I'm getting a little paranoid now lol. On top of that I've had the estate agents (realtors I think they call them in the US(?)) calling to try and book in appointments. It's nice to have the interest in the property, but I'm getting sick of it already (and it's only been a week!) They said they'd accompany every viewing but so far we've done 8 without a sign of the agent (I'll be asking for a refund on the fees at this rate) We even had one couple turn up on Sunday - they'd seen the sign outside and wanted to view the house 'on spec' there and then. It wouldn't have been a problem except we're frantically trying to 'de-clutter' (following some comments from previous viewings) - and had the contents of the garage (and there was a ton of stuff in there) all over the drive trying to sort it into 'keeps' and 'throws' to make space for the stuff in the house. Well, we put them off for a couple of hours and ran around the house tidying up and getting the garage sorted out again and it must have paid off as they're looking again tonight. Just about every part of my body is crossed at the moment hoping they'll make an offer (mainly so we can relax a bit in the evenings and live like the slobs we usually are rather than like a page from 'Homes & Gardens' lol)

Friday, September 16, 2005, 9:49:27 AM- Well.....
My boss was ranting over the phone again and will no doubt be like a bear with a sore head when he gets in. I'm sick of it to tell the truth. I just wish his wife would sort him out so we'd all have a better / quieter life lol..

Thursday, September 15, 2005, 11:12:38 AM- Got in to work today..
and found out from a colleague that the boss had a right old strop-on when he finally got in yesterday and was screaming and cursing all day. I got blamed for several things I hadn't done (or rather I had done but he thought I hadn't) and of course, being off, I couldn't defend myself.. He's not in til later today so when he is I'll go and shove the particular file he was talking of so far up his arse he'll be able to turn the pages with his tongue!! (yeah right, who am I kidding? What I'll actually do is wind my neck in and keep quiet about it like I always do - being a coward sucks lol) Urrgh.... start the day with a rant (pretty much all I seem to do on here - think I'll go and perv for a bit and calm down)

Wednesday, September 14, 2005, 11:11:08 AM- Petrol - what else?
Well the idiots have finally realised that the world ISN'T about to end... (or maybe they're not qeuing up because they've collectively bought an entire weeks' worth of fuel in a day and the garages have run out as a result) Sheesh... I used to have this misconcieved (and yes, bigoted) view that us Brits wouldn't ever panic in a 'crisis' - that we were somehow better at coping with problems than anyone else. Humph... well that illusion has been well and truly shattered lately. My wife was even threatened at the pumps when she tried to fill her car up (and yes, the tank was empty - she'd left it as long as she could) by some wanker in a Beamer who obviously thought he had some God-given right to jump the queue. Right.. rant over for the minute. Not sure if anyone is actually reading this, and I'm not sure that I give a monkey's either way. Very stress relieving though. I tend to pop on here at work when things are quiet. I'm not sure if my Wife would approve of it and I don't intend to find out!! I know my boss wouldn't lol. I've asked for a half day today to try and get our house ready for some viewings - we're trying to move somewhere with more elbow room. We've seen a place, and we really want to get it but I just can't get the enthusiasm up for a move. I've spent the last 6 months decorating our current place and now I'll have another 'project' to tackle. I'm buying shares in Homebase I think... I'm certainly keeping our local branch in profits. Well, there you go.. another sparkling gem of an entry. Guess I'd better fake some more work before the boss gets in.

Tuesday, September 13, 2005, 4:17:02 PM- Getting started
No idea whether anyone will end up reading this, but here goes. My profile is a complete load of rubbish made up off the top of my head. I may or may not change it later, but for now I'll tell you all (how many will that be?) that I'm married, 35, Dad to one sprog, and live in the UK. I just come here to troll through the site - I used to perv through the pics but I seem to be going to the blogs section more now. Maybe I'm getting more mature (read getting middle-aged) or maybe I've turned into my nosy Dad lol. Not sure that I'll be interesting enough for a return visit. I love reading Barefoot Babe's, Lunna's, and Brandywine's blogs - try them if you want something better than this drivel! Anyway.... what to say? Nope - completely stoopified (George Bush jnr moment)... Oh yes, we won the cricket and once again our glorious leader will try and hog all the credit by having the lads round for tea and medals. Nothing like some sports headlines to keep the price of petrol off the front page. Talking of which, I heard that there were people putting £2 worth of petrol in the car (I know that'll fill your tank up in the US but here it's a dribble's worth) at my local garage! All cos some idiot decided to say 'don't panic' in the newspapers. Funny how quickly people become headless chickens when someone tells them not to worry.... Oh well. Back to work I guess. At least writing this has taken a few minutes off the clock!
