Leanbeef's blog post - Frustrated blogger

I find blogs very frustrating. I would love to be more detailed about what I get up to outside NN but feel that it could compromise my anonymity. If you talk specifics about your cars, motorbikes, concerts you attend, places you visit at weekends etc, it could eventually become fairly conclusive that you are who someone suspects you are.

Perhaps I’m just being paranoid, It’s not as of there are a string of people out there scrutinizing every move and waiting to reveal the true identity of leanbeef lol. I suppose it’s just peace of mind against someone I know stumbling across me by accident and putting the pieces together.

I think people who show their faces on NN are very brave to do so. It may be that their circumstances and location are such that being identified doesn’t really matter as much to them. I know that in my place of work, even declaring that you visit adult sites on the internet gets you branded as a pervert. I hate to think what the outcome would be if I was caught posting nude. Having said that, they are probably at it too lol. I just wish we lived in a world where there was less taboo about nudity. Perhaps we will get there at some point in the future, but I can’t see it being in my lifetime.

I ponder the same things. What price freedom?

I know what you mean...unfortunately, I'm far too obvious, and I have been found out before. I decided to keep posting, though, since I really find nothing wrong with it. Although I try to stay somewhat anonymous...
I suppose it's all a matter of what you're willing to risk by posting.

I agree wholeheartedly...thanks for sharing your thoughts, as I couldn't have said that better myself!
