MissAshlee's blog post - house/moving clarifications ;)

because i keep getting similar comments, lol! thought i'd put it all out there.

i am not moving into my new house yet. i can't... it isn't done. yes, eventually i will have a tub, because how could i live without one? might be a while though. staying in airbnb's until its all wrapped up, cause i refuse to sign another lease, nor would anyone allow 3 cats. i planned to stay where i was till probably nov when i expected the build to be done. but now, im just moving everything into storage/the house bc i have no other choice.

i hired a general contractor to build the foundation, framing, siding, and roof. they also did the windows and outside doors, minus the garage door. that's it. the end. since they finished, i have essentially been the new general contractor. this isnt a "choose your colors and we build it" kinda project, lol. this also means i'm doing a lot of things myself in part to save money, use the materials i choose, and because i want to smile

rockwool insulation contains 0 fiberglass and is also not nearly as itchy or annoying as standard pink insulation. i am also not doing fiberglass blown in for the attic- cellulose only.

hope this eases some of your worries and clears up some things! just dont have time to comment back to each of these things over and over, lol. so if you care, (prob dont, but!) here's the scoop.

have an amazing after mugshot day, im def celebrating!

I've seen the photos and your house is looking amazing. Well done with what you've achieved so far, your hard work will be rewarded.

my new holiday home is half listed on airbnb, I've got a few more things to complete before it's ready to rent out though so the listing isn't live. When it is, you're welcome to come and stay in it , I come as an optional extra ;)
