When I was a young child, I was diagnosed with Rheumatic Fever, and my doctor prescribed complete bed rest for a period of several years. For some of my grade school years, I was taught by a visiting teacher. After this period, I returned to the normal school environment, but I was restricted to no physical education classes and limited playground activities.
