I just wanted to pose a question:
Has anyone who was expecting a repairman at their home during the 4-5 hour window provided by the service company actually ever been on the top of the list.
Example: Your dryer stops working. You call Sears or whoever for them to come and make the repair on your machine. They tell you they'll be over on Saturday between 8:00am and 2
opm. What time did they get there? Has anyone ever had the technician show up at 8:00? Anyone?
Between situations like the one above, having a new phone line installed, broadband internet install, etc. we've definitely had many, many occassions where this sort of situation has arisen. In all the years, in all the services, we can't recall a single incidence of being their first stop. IN FACT, I would guess that in a 4 hour window of expectant waiting, the technician would typically arrive during the fourth hour. The past two times, we've waited well beyond the window and even had someone show up 2 hours after the 4 hour waiting period we'd endured.
I'm starting to think the whole thing's a conspiracy.
