Wrigley's blog post - This will be me when I drop off the grid! ; )

People say I’m crazy, doing what I’m doing
Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin
When I say that I’m o.k. well they look at me kind of strange
Surely you’re not happy now you no longer play the game

People say I’m lazy, dreaming my life away
Well they give me all kinds of advice, designed to enlighten me
When I tell them that I’m doing fine watching shadows on the wall
Don’t you miss the big time boy you’re no longer on the ball

I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go

Ah, people asking questions, lost in confusion
Well I tell them there’s no problem, only solutions
Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I’ve lost my mind
I tell them there’s no hurry
I’m just sitting here doing time

I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go
wink
John Lennon
(either way, it's still a great thought about getting away from the rat race!)

I sing that song in the car and never really knew what I was singing! lol Very cool to see the lyrics, to understand exactly. I left my job in mid-December (*gasp!* without another job waiting in the wings. first time I've ever done that. And you know what? People were REALLY WEIRD about it. I'd go to parties and naturally the first thing out of a stranger's mouth is "What do you do?" Haaaaaaa, nothing, that's what I do.....they blinked, blushed, fidgeted, had no idea how to reply to that lol) and only just found job today....I'm kinda wishing I was back watching shadows on the wall though...

Just read these lyrics that I know by heart & at the same time listened to Have you ever seen the rain by John Fogerty. I've never wanted to drop of the grid more than I do now & I've wanted to drop of the grid so very badly & so very often! There is but one tiny speck of light left on my grid can't wait till it goes out & I drop off! Stop the merry-go-round I want off!!!
