Since I am a cheap son of a bitch when it comes to the utility company (I consider PG&E the evil empire), I try to conserve. Over four years ago I went to the cute coiled energy saving bulbs with the funky pink ting to the light. Supposed to last nine years. If the lights are on three hours a day. Well one of the lights in my bedroom died today. Not nine years but the light was on over three hours a day. I had another bulb to replace the burned out one. HOLY SHIT. My bedroom now looks like a cheap diner or a church basement!! The new bulb has an overpowering WHITE lite. I so love being green. NOT!!!

Yeah... they are all just mini shop lights. If you don't get the right coatings they make you look like crap. The home depot has a nice display that shows the different effects each type of CFL will give you.

Nobozos is right pony - I know it's pain but keep looking!You will find th right one.
