Was in my backyard and heard a bird flapping in a bush. Looked in, it was a small bird hanging upside down doing its best bat impersonation. I walked away but was curious about it. SO checked again. It was flapping like crazy, like it was stuck. Poor thing had its leg wrapped around a small branch. It was stuck. (not sure how it got in that situation). I reached in, broke the little branch. Bird flew off then landed on the weber. Looked at me, chirped a couple times them flew into the trees. I took that as a thank you. Poor bird was a sitting duck if a hawk heard it flapping. Some days it is the little things that can make you happy. |
