I love her voice.

On the way over to my friend's, saw something you don't see very often; two women on a bike together. (Around here, anyway.) Pretty hot, I thought. Reminded me of one of my friends when I lived in Florida. When her grandmother died, she got herself a pink harley and took me for a ride. (Which is when I learned the importance of wearing pants on a bike ride. Although the last time I was on one, I was wearing a skirt-but that was a quick ride with a friend from one end of town to the other at 25mph.)

Since it rained on and off all afternoon, work on my car has been postponed until possibly Tuesday. My youngest has a dentist appointment out of town, though, so I guess it will depend on when he'd be doing the work and if I want to drive my oldest's car.

I prefer videos by the artist or at least them playing, but I couldn't find one for this song. There's some beautiful photography, though.

Like an old wound never quite healed,
my love for you has receded
to a dull ache

-imperceptively-

and deceptively so

a thought, a word...a remembered touch...
and it's like the stitches are torn out
bleeding and aching anew.



Early morning sun
filters through my blinds;

What brought me to this site? An ex-lover, cause I like looking at people, especially women...and he thought I'd like it here. Why do I keep coming back? Because he was right. I can say what I want, people are nice, and status on here is infinitely more interesting than on FB.

For some reason this song popped into my head when I was mowing earlier. Okay, maybe it wasn't completely random. I was thinking about someone, wishing they would call (though I'd probably have panic attack if they did) but as it's been months since I've seen him...it would be wishful thinking on my part.

Part of my garden...on the right, it's mostly raspberries. I bought a 14x14 foot net to deter deer from eating my plants, but my garden is much bigger than I thought.

Thinking about what to do tonight...I always want to go out, but even if I get ready to, I usually talk myself out of it. Cause it's just not so much fun by myself. Maybe I'll see if my best friend wants to come over for movies. I need to bathe first, though. Before I make any decisions.

Finally finished moving that huge pile of rocks into my garden...now I just need to finish spreading them on the path. A little sore and a lot tired, but I feel content. I'm also a bit excited cause my daughter's fiance finally got the spark plugs and wires for my car. Though I don't know if that will get done this weekend or not.
