I made nesting boxes for my girls today. I am easily the worst carpenter you can imagine (xcept maybe for Jay) It was fun and I know those bitches are out there right now pulling all the marsh hay I cut for each box onto the floor. Silly girls.

Now I have to devise something to stop their water from freezing. II can buy a heated chicken waterer for 60 bucks but that is 60 bucks I don't have. My idea involves a galvanized pan (like you'd catch motor oil in) and a light bulb. I'll keep you unformed since i know you on the edge of your seat. HAHAHAH

How nice to know of another NN'er that keeps chickens too!! If you haven't already I would highly reccomend putting a layer of pine shavings underneath watever grass/straw you are bedding the boxes with. It makes for easier clean up when you clean out the nest boxes...xoxoxo
