depotguy's blog post - It's been a quiet day here in blizzard land

No cars.......the ocasional hummm of a snowblower. Last night, in the thick of it, 4 cars got stuck in front of my house. I let them sit there. They worked for over an hour to get unstuck, And for what? Where were they going? Everythings closed. Not even any mail delivery today. Whats with the "through rain and snow and thick of night.....the mail must go on", phewy.
The drifts are over 6 ft. high in the street. It's very pretty. The funniest moment occured when my neighbor and his grandaughter
were shoveling my front porch (she's 6) I started to open the front door and she screamed "he's comming out!" The other neighbor laughed and said "honey.....he did that years ago"
