depotguy's blog post - I'm learning how to live (thanks to Lucinda Williams)

Looking back on this long weekend of fornication and frivolity. The last guests have just departed and I'm looking at striped beds and piles of towels. I just had to set a spell and reflect on the weekend. When I quiet myself in this manner I say I am looking for a sign. One of my friends had burned a Lucinda Williams cd for me and I was listening to it as I worked. I heard the song "I'm learning how to live" and it really describes my weekend. The "official" event was an absolute and tremendous hit. Thousands more people than last year, great vendor support. The highlight event (a harbor cruise lovingly called the "fruit float" sold out completely for the first time. (Hey you try cramming 500 drunk gay and lesbian revelers on a boat and you'll see it's harder than it looks...HA) It was all around wonderful.Unofficialy....it was an eye opener for me. I let myself go places I haven't for years. I drank too much, talked to loudly, made out with any hottie I could. I groped strangers and got groped. I danced half naked with a completly naked guy at a party (if you could call it dancing...HA) (yes MD...I'll get pictures) In other words.....I'm learning how to live. My way and without regret.
