While I was snapping pictures the other morning I took this photo of the remaining grain elevators on the harbor. There used to be many, many more. Through the years other methods have evolved to ship grain. These elevators that are left still see much use.



It's a proud moment when the old timers watch them try to tear one of these beomoth's down. They are built to last. Several companies have went bankrupt when they underbid a teardown. I suppose you can't tell from the photo's but they are about a 1/4 mile long. Thats a lot of grain.

Smoke on the water... Modern-day castles in the distance... all very poetic. You have an eye, and I'm glad I could share in it.

In my travels around the states I always feel an eerie presence in the abandoned grain mills. This is a beautiful pic and it says alot

I have been there but did not see it like this,nice photo man.Oh your place looks great to from waht I have seen so far.Who dosen't like pie.
