Have worked as a Mathematician, Computer Scientist, and consultant to various government funded think tanks and Fortune 500 companies. Quickly became bored with corporate politics and struck out on my own; have owned and operated various businesses, including apartment complexes, office buildings, shopping centers, carwashes, etc. Became tired of 80 hour workweeks and retired in the late 90's. Financially independent. I'm opinionated, but value the opinions of others as long as they are the result of reasoned, critical thinking. If your opinions are based on dogma (religious, political, or other) then you have no opinions of your own and none worth discussing. Politically I'm Libertarian - with equal contempt for the inept, corrupt, and self-serving Democratic and Republican parties, which offer Americans no real substantive choices. I believe that most organized religions are merely curious anachronisms based historically on mindless dogma and institutionalized intolerance. I despise bigots, whether that bigotry be based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, or religious dogma - if you are a bigot you have nothing to contribute and your opinions are of no value.
