foxilady's blog post - Here we go again......

Not been a good week. Had to rush one of my dogs to emergency vet. I found him lying in a pool of blood, he had somehow managed to rip his dew claw almost out! This was at just before midnight, had to drive him nearly 20 miles to vet who said we did the right thing. He managed to stop the bleeding, said it was badly infected and gave us anti-biotics for the dog. We (my daughter was with me) got home about 2am! The the next day I picked up my daughter as usual from work, was driving home, stopped the car waiting to turn into the road where I live, heard screeching of car brakes then bang! A van hit the back of my car! My daughter got out the car and was ranting and raving at the driver of the van who was apologising. He said he tried to brake hard but the road was very slippery - which it was because it had been raining hard. Fortunately there wasn't any damage to my car, the back bumper took the impact well and both me and my daughter were not hurt, but when we got home I got out the car and was physically sick! Memories of Dave's accident (although I wasn't there) came flooding back, and for a couple of days I have been very sad and sick. I am ok now thankfully.
So I apologise for unanswered PM's and lack of comments on pics/blogs! I will write and comment just as soon as I can. Hope you understand.
