I hardly know how to say this but I need to let you know...On Friday 27th July 2007 my Dave (hubby) was tragically killed in a car crash. It happened approx 5.40pm, he was involved in a head-on collision with another car, only about half a mile from home! the paramedics took him by air ambulance in a helicopter straight to John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford - by-passing the nearest hospital to us because of the nature of his injuries (for those of you outside the UK John Radcliffe Hospital is one of the very best in the country - approx 35 miles from where I am) They operated on him but unfortunately he did not survive. I will not go into all the gory details, one day I might be able to talk about it more.

At the moment I'm just feeling numb...

I will write more as soon as I can, meanwhile please forgive me for unanswered PM's/emails, hope you understand.

So sad for you, you and your family will be in my thoughts...don't confuse numb with being stunned or shocked, I'm sure the feelings are there, you're to sweet not to have em so be ready, they will show up...a lot of people share your sorrow... good that you have so many friends and family. Let it be a reminder to all how fragel life is and that none of us knows when our time will be up so we need to enjoy and make the most of every moment we have, take every opertunity to let our loved ones know how much we care. In the end what hurts the most is the things we didn't do, feelings we didn't say... don't let it be a waste, use it to bring your family closer together....

I know this is late but...I am saddened to read of the death of your husband. To lose someone so suddenly and violently must be an extraordinarily soul-wrenching time. My mom died in January of last(07) year after a year and a half struggle(painful at the end)illness. I have learned to hmm...ignore the most painful aspects of that experience and to recall happier, pleasant times. Such as her dancing and singing to Roger Miller singing "King of the Road". At 70. Always brings a smile to my face. Mike
