Has it really been since June 8th since the last time I posted anything? Everything has changed. My wife and I are divorcing. That should be final by the first week of October. That marriage should have dissolved a few years back. It's like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

I live in an apartment now but answer only to myself. Work is just OK. But a very good friend of mine wants to hire me for a position on the Virginia coast. Not sure if I'm ready to leave everything here just yet but I'm certainly thinking about it.

We sold our house here in 6 hours for more than the asking price. My kids live here and that would be tough to leave them. You can tell its a complex situation. More later I suppose,

I hope that you are happy and relaxed now. It isn't easy trading one life for another. But it is a good feeling knowing that life can go on and hopefully it goes in the direction you want to go.

This is the first time i have been back to read your blog in a very long time.
Im sorry about your marriage...but sometimes we just have to let go of something we never thought we would. You are from 2 different worlds..it must have been time. at least your kids are grown, it was tough during the end of my first marriage when the kids were young. I hope things improve from here on.

It's to bad you two didn't do this years ago so you could have moved on with your life. We all could see this coming. I gave you so much hell over the yrs for putting up with her but I am really sorry, gibs. I just have a feeling that you are really a great guy from reading all your previous blogs. Good luck and best wishes to you my friend. Hope you stay in touch. A lot of the old timers here have certainly enjoyed you here and I am one of them. Can I give you a man hug? Hope you find that woman who will return the love that you have for her. You'd make a great catch. I don't know what else to say.
