I'm a pretty normal guy that you'd never suspect of being on NN. It's my outlet for everyday life. Love photography and guitars. My voice greeting is a sample of my all original music recorded basement style. I change it from time time. My favorite guitar is my Gibson SG thus my user name was born.

Monday, April 14, 2008, 10:52:03 PM- Not Bad For A Day
I certainly needed a decent day at work. However, over the weekend our biz email got screwed up and never worked at all today. Maybe that's way it seemed slow. The big boss is leaving for Europe on Wednesday and we're doing our best to take care of all his loose ends. But he's in a great mood so it's just that much better. Here's where I add that another emplyee is no longer with the firm. Yes, another slacker is gone and no one feels sorry for him. You gotta pull your weight or you're doomed!

Monday, April 14, 2008, 12:00:14 AM- Done for the day
That is .. I'm done working at my home improvement project. For weeks now I've been sanding and staining the rim in our house. Yikes! I'm just tired now! For a little while went out looking at apartments for our daughter who has gotten a job offer. But when my wife said she didn't have a picture ID with her she couldn't go in. She was just pissed! Next time she'll be prepared.

Sunday, April 13, 2008, 3:03:26 PM- Interesting stuff
I've copied & pasted some info below>>>> There is a very good reason why these are the most common complaints – men and women are very different when it comes to sex! The biological sexual drive, or lack of it, relates to how much testosterone is present. Men biologically have much more testosterone than women. Men’s biology equips them to be ready for sex most of the time, which is nature’s way of ensuring the survival of the species. Women, on the other hand, often do not experience a biological sexual drive unless they are in the middle of their menstrual cycle. This fact can create a big problem in relationships. I’ve often heard men complain that: "It’s not fair. My wife is in control of our sex life. If she wants it, then we have it. If she doesn’t, then I have no say about it. Why does it always have to be her way?" "My wife complains that she needs to feel intimate before we make love, but I get to intimacy through making love." "I don’t reach out for sex much anymore because I’m tired of being rejected, but my wife says she wants to be pursued in a romantic way. This feels like a no-win to me." "I think if my wife really cared about me and my needs, she would have sex with me even when she wasn’t turned on." I’ve often heard women complain that: "He always seems to be ready for sex, but I don’t feel turned on unless we are feeling close. I can’t just watch TV all evening and then feel like making love." "I often feel pulled on for sex, as if having sex is more important than caring about me. When I do what he wants, I feel used, and when I don’t, I run into his anger, resentment, blame or withdrawal. It feels like a no-win." "My husband often comes to me like a needy little boy, wanting me to pacify him or validate him with sex. Ugh! There is nothing erotic about an insecure, needy little boy!" "There must be something wrong with me. I just don’t ever feel turned on anymore." The very real issue here, at least for most men under 40, is that they are biologically motivated and women are mostly emotionally motivated. Heterosexual women get turned on when their man is warm, open, caring, and personally powerful. Most women are not turned on by a man who is closed, distant, angry, blaming, or needy. The problems of frequency can get resolved as men and women learn to understand and accept each other’s differences. Men need to understand and accept that women are not as biologically motivated as men are. Many women rarely even think about sex, while most men will tell you that they think about sex frequently throughout the day. When men understand that women are turned on by love, romance, emotional intimacy, warmth, caring, and personal power, then men may be motivated to learn to be the loving, powerful and romantic partners that women want and need. When women can accept that men’s biology is very present for them, they can stop putting men down for it and start supporting their men in creating more emotional intimacy, romance, and personal power. When women criticize men instead of understanding and accepting them, they help to create some of the insecurity that is such a turn off to many women. When a woman can appreciate rather than demean her man for his sexuality, she can find ways of meeting his needs without feeling used.

Wednesday, April 9, 2008, 12:46:27 AM- Kansas National NCAA Champs!
The national championship game was exactly what CBS wanted. Overtime! With two minutes to go Kansas was like 9 points behind and there was no way they could catch up to Memphis. They just didn't have it but then everything started clicking. A 3 pointer with 2 seconds left put it into overtime. But honestly Memphis gave the game away when they missed so many free throws in the last two minutes. Just one of them would have given them the championship instead of Kansas. But then again Kansas is a Big 12 team!

Sunday, April 6, 2008, 10:23:38 PM- The Weekend is over already?
I was just beginning to get into the weekend mode when I realized it's almost over already. Now I'm more determined than ever to take a 2 days off real soon. Today was my one day to sleep a little later and what did I do? I woke up even earlier (5:30 a.m.) because I wanted to be downtown at 7:00 to see the beginning of the Marathon but I didn't. It was still very cool to watch thousands of runners make their way at the end of the neighborhood. I did take something like 400 photos and there are already online elsewhere of course. Afterwards I got myself on my bike and did a grueling 30 miles in order to drag my butt back into shape. (It ain't happening) The sun is getting low in the sky now. Surely, we'll grill outside on the deck tonight. Then a little TV and the week starts all over again. FYI - We went and saw the movie "In Bruges" last night. http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/11/23/in-burges-movie-trailer/ Not quite an art film because of the killing and blood. It was an odd British film with some very funny moments. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE MOVIE TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, April 6, 2008, 5:10:46 PM- Marathon
It was an early morning for because I had planned to head downtown to photograph the St Louis Marathon but instead simply walked one block because they were running nearly in front of my house. I met a bunch a nice people and took just hundreds of pictures. You might say it was just about a perfect morning. The sun was out and I got to really try out the new camera! Whoopie!

Saturday, April 5, 2008, 4:20:33 PM- Movie Review
It certainly seems Spring has decided to show its face for a while this weekend. Let’s not get too excited because we’re barely into the mid 60’s but there’s a bold bright sun overhead and that works for me. Guess it won’t be long before I get the lawnmower out of the garage for yet another season of keeping up with the Jones next door. Last night we watched “Dan In real Life” starring Steve Carell and Juliette Binoche. Since we use Netflix and the wife keeps the DVD’s coming & going I had no idea what we were going to watch until she hit play. I was pleasantly surprised with this flick. You check it out here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0480242/ The Rhode Island family house by the ocean was beautiful and the entire ensemble of actors representing the family seemed so real I felt involved to some degree. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived that role for so many years. You just like everyone. When Steve Carell falls for the his brothers girlfriend you feel how uncomfortable he is.. at least I felt that way. It wasn’t a block buster but it was better than I was expecting. What’s today’s agenda? Don’t have one! This afternoon will be time to chill out.

Friday, April 4, 2008, 12:00:49 PM- Friday morning
Will this rainy wet cool weather go ago? It's beginning to just wear everyone out. But knowing this Missouri weather Spring will arrive then turn immediately into a hot Summer. It better not because I love having both the heat & A?c turned off so the windows can be wide open letting the fresh air flow through the house. My old camera is gone. I sold it to a guy who will surely appreciate it. He was pretty excited about getting it. My new Lumix FZ18 is a lot like my old model but with advances that make it truly remarkable. Well, that's it for now.. off to work!

Thursday, April 3, 2008, 1:45:44 AM- My Camera Arrived!
Today my new camera arrived thanks to UPS and it worked right out of the box. There wasn't much juice in the battery but enough for me to run through the menu a few times and play with it like I was opening Christmas presents under the tree. The 18X optical Leica lens zoomed from 28mm to 500mm without missing beat. A 1 gig memory came included. Forget the equipment bag.. (tossed that aside). All 9 mega pixels won't be used unless I plan to start printing out some images... hmmm. That does give me a few ideas! Then work got in the way and good things had to come to an end for the time being. Oh shit!!! Now I need to shoot some pictures. Anyone want to model?
