Yeah...so...the Spawn has a friend whose a few years older and expecting a baby in a few months. Me, being the optimist that I am, had the brilliant idea of cross-stitching a baby afghan for the friend. Figured I'd be able to knock out one block per week and it would be done in plenty of time. Yeah. Sure it will. Four weeks later and I'm 2/3 of the way done with the first block. Out of 12 blocks. oops. So... since the afghan won't be ready til the kid's first (maybe second) birthday, I switched over to making a crib-sized quilt. I went to the store yesterday and texted fabric print options to the Spawn. She had no trouble choosing -- it's one she's seen before and likes a lot. Now I'm making a baby quilt featuring cats on motorcycles set against a flame background. Cuz, you know, nothing screams "baby" quite like bikercats and flames. *giggle* /shakes head, rolls eyes, and goes back to cutting squares Hugs, HP |
