I've often said "no good deed goes unpunished" yet am continually amazed how frequently that point is proven.

Anyway... moving on... the Spawn went back to school today and was not terribly thrilled about catching the bus at 6:30 a.m. Who would be? We spent yesterday bumming around, stopping at a pet store to play with a puppy and a kitten and picking up supplies for our pets, went out to lunch, did some necessary shopping... basically just hanging out together. It was a good day. She and I seem to have found some balance in our relationship and I'm diggin it.

Glad it was a good day and y'all achieved balance.
I never liked the 0630 bus either LOL but it is awful early in the year to start school. I know some states even started last week :/

I had to walk three miles to catch my school bus...and they still charged me ten cents a trip...those were the days....glad things went well

That relationship between a mother and daughter. ....it can be so tight but then ever so fragile. I still experience it with my daughter from time to time but it is better these last few years.
