I'm utterly furious! We shipped out several 100 troy oz. silver bars the other day to buyers. When one package arrived at its destination, the shipping box was inside a plastic bag and the contents of the box was missing.

We've contacted the Post Office and the FBI as well as putting the word out to coin dealers in the areas where the tracking info shows the package was processed at various facilities. Fingers crossed it shows up. Fortunately, the bar has a serial number stamped on it and we have photos, so it's easily identifiable.

Poohbare is on the phone with the buyer right now who is being extremely cooperative. When the post office returns the damaged package to us, we'll take it to the authorities to run fingerprints. God help whoever did this if Poohbare discovers their identity. I certainly wouldn't want to be in their shoes.

ruh roh! Tampering with the mail is a federal crime...and with the price of silver, that's a major felony!
