As tiresome as it was making all those calls yesterday, there was a certain amount of joy to be found as well. I was blessed to speak with an amazing number of kind people who sounded more than happy to call if the silver bar came thru their doors. They don't want to purchase stolen items any more than we would. We are not asking for more than a simple phone call to alert us that the bar is still in the area. As most coin/pawn/jewelry stores have cameras, there will be video. This is sufficient. I don't want to involve anyone in something they are best to avoid.
Many of the people had their own stories to share, advice to give, suggestions to make. It was heartwarming and extraordinarily informative. There are a lot of folks with integrity out there. It's easy to forget that and a lesson I need to retain.
