I get an e-mail from a manger blaming my department for his employees screw up. While I enjoy sarcasm more than most, not at work and in e-mails. I'm going to let this guy run his mouth (and fingers) and then in a very politically correct way (its still business), point out relying entirely on one side of the story before attacking people is not a good career-advancing plan. I believe his Monday breakfast will consist of eating all the shit I want to force down his throat.

I try very hard to not be a dick to people at work. We all have jobs and should have a common goal; this guy stepped way over the line. I plan on taking a good couple pounds of flesh for this. (While forgiving is a wonderful quality to have, disemboweling someone occasionally is necessary for self preservation)..... I may need some beach time soon.

My weekend was great. Dinner and drinks with my friends was a lot of fun. We went to a bar and I got hit on by a couple of attractive women (it ended there no good story to tell, sorry)I'm still getting teased by my friends wife though. The bar was good medicine for a brusied ego when the wife took off for the weekend. But the kids and I had blast together (we went to the movies and swimming). All in all it was a damn good birthday!

Mine starts tomorrow!!!! The wife is heading out of town (even though is my birthday) but some good friends are planning a surpise evening for me.... Good friends are rare, and I'm looking forward to a fun weekend!!!!

WORK IS KILLING ME. I got fed up and took the family to a theme park on Wed. It was a blast!!!! My kids had a great time. You know its a great day when they collapse in the back seat and are asleep before we get out of the parking lot.

Does anyone know some home cures for insominia? I have been getting only about 3 hrs of sleep a night (if that) I hesitate to go to the doctor before I try over the counter stuff, but if it doesn't stop soon I will have to do something.

the color of the sky in my wife's world? She has decided she now wants a new house (I'm not saying no to that), I went and looked at the one she liked and figured out the taxes on it would be higher than what I pay now for my mortgage. I am dazed and confused by this.. Sure honey I'll just go out back and pick some more money off the tree no problem. This one's not even worth the discussing, So I now type and she sulks.

getting chills in the middle of summer

I'm starting to have a gossip problem in my department at work. One of my reports is getting a divorce and the husband is saying its because of a man in the department. Being the manager I have avoided the issue as: 1. I have no proof (nor do I want to find any)!! 2. Its not my business.. I have made comments indirectly to other people in the group how I hate office gossip and won't tolerate it within the group (which is true). My view is simply this... Both do a great job, I have seen nothing and if I don't see it then its not happening. But I'm getting tired of the whispers. The gossip could hurt both of their careers (not with me)at the company.

I'm done... just wanted to vent (this is a great place to do it) about some rude people who don't know when to keep their nose out of other peoples business.

The wife and kids have been out of town for less then 24hrs and I'm tired of the empty house. Too quiet, I'm use to my young son running around asking "daddy can you do this" or " daddy can we go play baseball" Then there is the older daughter not wanting to let her brother get all the daddy attention and finding ways to get some herself. Funny thing, while its going on, I think how I'd love some quiet, but now that I have it, I miss the chaos.

I figure I have read a ton of these, its time to write one of my own. So here is my hello..

I'm married (for now) with two kids. I like my job although it causes more than its fair share of stress in my life (as I'm sure everyone’s job does). I found NN through a friend and have enjoyed surfing around looking and reading all forms and blogs. My favorites are the quick glimpses into people’s everyday lives and sharing their joys and frustrations of their lives to the anonymous members of the site.
