kittenmmm's blog post - Cold, Cold..go away...

Well, I should never make plans for Saturday because as it stands I can never seem to be anything but lazy on Saturday. I thought it might be nice to take a ride out to the ocean but I was so comfy in bed I didn't end up getting up til almost noon. I watched the snow flurries and the goat antics and the crazy chickens from my window. I had my tea and just chilled. I finally got up after hearing wolf mucking about out in the house. I think he was fixing the bathroom sink which I had requested the previous day.
I did clean the bathroom...swept the house...but I wasn't getting any closer to the beach. Sometime around 4 I think I said ... hey...ya wanna go for a ride? We ended up at the Bison farm and then just cruised. We did get to the beach but by then it was dark and the wind was vicious....got out of the car...walked to the edge of the sand...the wind picked up and we RAN back to the car. Talk about bitter cold. We ended up riding back home and stopping for a bite to eat.
Sunday was a bit warmer but not much. At least less wind. Visited mom after church. Went to eat with her and then spent the evening working on a puzzle and watching TV.
A rather unproductive but enjoyable weekend. Nothing was getting done outside though because of the cold. Oh well, spring is on the way...I know because the daffodils are just starting to push out of the ground and the days are getting longer. Whoo hoo!!
