Masturbation is the most perfect loving expression of satisfying the natural sexual desire we are born with, it should be encouraged at every opportunity for all gender mixes.
The church teaching is totally ridiculous, and amounts to inhuman control by bigotted sad individuals, who have little understanding of normal healthy sexual saisfaction!
Any teaching by religious zealots about marriage should be cast aside as incoherent unless the writer is a member of a religion where both genders, and variations in between, are treated completely equally in every possible way, and the writer has at least enjoyed a close loving relationship with another person, of any age or sexual orientation.

uknaked, that is crap. Masturbation is only short term pleasure. "Loving oneself" is a misnomer; it takes another person to love. Masturbation is by its nature selfish, because we are focused on our on pleasure, not on the love of another; that requires another person.
As for your comment that religious zealots don’t treat genders equally, who are you accusing of being a zealot. Those writers I linked in are not.
If you think it is because the Catholic Church doesn’t allow women to be priests, what has that to do with it? It doesn’t make a women any less equal to a man, any more then a mother is less equal to a father. They are merely different.
