I've wanted to write a blog for some time. I'd like to explain why but to date it's a little hazy. I don't expect people will read my directionless ramblings and mistake me for some inspirational character like Forest Gump, but I'm sure I have a few useful things to say. We'll see...

The past few months have seen a few changes. Nothing monumental, but a few key things have fallen into place to allow me to spend more time attending to the people and activities I find interesting and which give me purpose. One activity is an unofficial diary, seen only on NN.

This is the first day of my new life and I woke up to clouds, rain, a few emails (one from my mother which always brings a smile to my face) and an empty NN inbox. As a 'single' guy. Then again, that's not out of the ordinary. A few hours later I have Rufus Wainwright singing me a tune and one HELL of a paper cut.

On the plus side I don;t have my old boss chewing my ass out for something that doesn't matter. Oh, and it's sunny. I'm off to hang the laundry.
