this was done off the top of my head twas the night before christmas and all through the camp all became silent not a hoof did stamp when across the plains sky did a sight semm to appear a wagon was loaded led by reindeer cowboys stare in awe as it coasts out of sight then lie thier heads down to sleep for the night as the moning sun broke and the hands did wake a sight there befor them they knew not how to take the cattle were lowing in the meadows below and the south texas plains were covered in snow breakfast was cooking yet chef was asleep new saddles and boots were there at thier feet they saw tracks in the snow that led to a sled and wondered if it was a dream dancing in the head each cowboy came round the fire to feast as one said softly its not climate for a xxxxx the hands saddle up to finnish the drive and when all get home exclaim santas alive the children are glowing the fire is warm and the cowboy stand soft as he watches a form someone is moving seems on his way as he watches st.nick ride away in his sleigh the cowboy just watches as the form lets out and all across the prarie theres ut a shout as loud as thunder a solemn voice does call to all a merry christmas and be happy yall

Thursday, September 4, 2008, 6:52:44 AM- understated
.....ridin alone along the prarie the dusty ol cowhand recalls his youth as a younger man he remembers the girl he left behind to ride the trail the nights spent in a cold damp cell the thrill of chasin down a rampaging heard but still remembers every lesson he learned worn out saddles an worn out dreams a life alone is all he he has it seems a cowboys a rare breed not settlin down would rather be free than live in town his horse his best friend a pistol on his side spending each day as alone he will ride sleeping under the stars by a campfires light noone to hold on that cold winters night no tears on a cowboy will ever be shed as he lays his head down in his earthen bed just a blanket an a fire are his friends but a cowhand lives till his days ends alone he will walk noone to call home the life chose him to live alone
