Pixie and I went up to Sace-Western Reserve University for my brother's memorial service.

It was a good day, seeing family and listening to his friends and colleagues tell stories about my brother the professor, ham radion operator and sailboat skipper!

It was especially fantastic to go out to dinner with one of my two nephews who had a difficult relationship with his dad. Since his dad's death on December 9th, my man has had emotional
baggage piled up within.

Over dinner and a nice bottle of Chardannay, Pixie and his wife excused himself and I let him vent! It was fierce but I'm happy to say that after some raised voices and a couple of tears, he is whole!

I LISTENED, then allowed him some insight into the decade that my brother and I spent estranged after the death of our mother! He was able to extrapolate something from our discussions that eased his troubled heart and he was able to embrace his older sibling again.

I have brought some of my brother's cremins "home" to Maryland and will place them in a crypt in the memorial park where the great majority of our family rests!
