Tuesday, January 5, 2016, 4:16:13 AM- Gypsy's Kiss...
Another fine example of Deep Purple live during their '80s comeback. Blackmore and Lord are one of the best keyboard/guitar duos ever in rock. This is an example of why they should have been in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame years ago.
I hope everyone has a woNNderful holiday season. I haven'y posted an off-the-wall holiday song yet this year so... Enyoy dis little tune from Yogi Yorgesson.
Saturday, December 19, 2015, 8:06:10 PM- Thanks, NN... Maybe premium, some day.
I've seen much discussion lately on whether or not NN was worth the price of premium. I have had the privilege of being gifted premium on a few occasions, so have some experience in the features included. To me, the bottom line is: yes, it is worth the price. This is more than just an adult site. This is an active community of like-minded people. There are many folks here worth getting to know. I have met folks I would not have otherwise met. Some have become what I would consider good friends. Granted, many of the established members have been leaving the site in the past year, but as things change, folks sometimes feel the need to move on. NN has provided a great community to hang out in. If my economic conditions were in a better state, I would certainly pony up the cash and go premium myself. Not many sites give you this much access for free. I, for one, appreciate it. Thanks, NN, for providing such a nice site.
"Great blog overshort2. You are one of my fave people here. You are always nice to folks, quiet and grounded, thoughtful. Appreciated."- MitchandDaisy
Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 3:09:26 AM- Deep Purple deep cut
Ran across this on YouTube. No No No, from their Fireball album, a live studio performance. Mark II Purple early-on and in form. Dig the groovy video effects, man!
"Thanks! everything DP and all the spin-off groups is always good to hear, especially the deeper cuts that are not as well known."- MitchandDaisy
Sunday, July 19, 2015, 10:12:43 PM- More clean pictures
Last July, my wife and I got a chance to wander around a bit and I happened on this small park. I previously posted a few pictures from the visit. This is what makes me understand Whoken's enjoyment of wandering and having the patience to catch that good photo. There was a group of ducks running around the park and I got the opportunity for some nice shots.
"nothing wrong, with having a wander around and taking time to see, the world."- whokens
Thursday, July 16, 2015, 1:33:38 AM- Happy Birthday, Mr. RJ Dio, wherever you are...
He would have been 73 this month. Almost as hard to believe as the fact that he is gone. Nice tribute video to one of his best vocal recordings with Rainbow. Stargazer.
Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 2:03:03 AM- Finally out to take some photos. Sorry, they're clean.
Was able to get out, finally, to relax and take some pictures with my daughter. What location do I choose? A reportedly haunted, mostly abandoned, cemetery. It's kind of a sad place that has been vandalized over the years with only basic upkeep. Got some great shots, though.
Saturday, February 28, 2015, 3:56:03 AM- Love these song lyrics and video from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac
-I Need Your Love-
Need someone's hand to lead me through the night I need someone's arms to hold and squeeze me tight Now, when the night begins, whoa, I'm at an end
Because I need your love so bad I need some lips to feel next to mine Need someone to stand up, to stand up and tell me when I'm lyin' And when the lights are low, and it's time to go
That's when I need your love so bad So why don't you give it up, baby and bring it home to me Or write it on a piece of paper, woman, so it can be read to me
Tell me that you love me, and stop drivin' me mad Whoa, because I, I need your love so bad Need a soft voice, just to talk to me at night Don't want you to worry, baby
I know we can make everything alright Listen to my plea, baby, come on bring it to me 'Cause I need, your love so bad Baby, I need, I need, woman, I need your love so bad

Saturday, January 31, 2015, 3:46:30 AM- This gets my weekend going...
From Rainbow's final tour, I believe, just before Deep Purple's reunion. The man in black pulls out all the stops live with a full orchestra. This is what got me started with classical music. The shear power of the orchestra and Blackmore is absolutely incredible. Once again, if not for YouTube, I would likely never see this performance. Beethoven would have enjoyed this...

Monday, December 29, 2014, 9:17:47 PM- Senseless Holiday humor break
Not sure what brought this one to mind (or maybe I am). A public service announcement from Monty Python...
