reservedgent's blog post - Inspiration and meaning

So I've been chatting to someone I'd like to consider a new friend.
Whilst we've been talking they've reminded me of one of many quotes that rings true for me -

"Its like a finger pointing away to the moon. Dont concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory."

For me this has two points that I'm attracted to. The first being the celestial overtones and the second about focusing your attention in the right direction. When I stop to look at the moon and stars I find a certain tranquillity. It puts things back in to perspective. We over complicate life. I find I too easily get distracted and lose my way missing out on the small pleasures the world offers so frequently.
