safire19's blog post - It’s been a funny old couple of weeks

Was the first anniversary of my sister’s death on Sunday …..unbelievable how fast that time has gone …..God I miss her.

Two scares with family members’ one brother is waiting on prostate tests to come back and a niece is going through some testing over abnormal pap smears…..but both taking things in their stride ….I swear I’m going to hunt that cancer fucker down and make it dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL NOT TAKE ANYMORE OF MY FAMILY!!!

On a more positive note I had another birthday a couple of weeks ago…..that makes 53 not too shabby considering I was only supposed to make it to 46….pffftttt try and tell me there’s a 2.8 year survival period ….. one more month and I clock up 10 years ……nah nah nana nah …they obviously have never come across someone as stubborn as me.

I am happy to report all seems to be going grand ……since I have finally given up on visiting New York (was the top of my bucket list) I have started a new list …..all around here and all achievable and all I’m looking forward to ……will keep you posted.

I have missed being here ……Whokens wonderful blogs and beautiful pics …….the banter on status…..the lovely updates from Mitch and Daisy in Canada…..the chats with beautiful bee and moggie-dish-ewww….and all the other awesome friends I have here ……I’m hoping with the encroaching winter months I might get the opportunity to get on more often ……I am devastated to say goodbye to my summer …its been a blinder ….but Im not a selfish person so I willing to share it now with you guys in the Northern Hemisphere ……make the most of it cause I want it back in 271 sleeps.
