sammiealice's blog post - just some thoughts on vacation

we had a wonderful vacation in florida. no nude sunning but the weather was wonderful. saw the space shuttle move to the visitor center at the kennedy space center for perminent display. it was sad in a way-----that beautiful machine was going inside to never fly again. funny that i would give almost a human feeling to a machine.

the birds that we usually see had not gotten to florida yet. so birding was just ok. got to spend lots of time in the sun and unfortunately, too much driving.

they have a huge toy store in coca beach. went shopping but i could not find anything that i thought was more exciting than the toys i already have. omg, i never thought i would be going to toy stores.

went to some great places to eat. if you are in titusville, don't miss dixie crossroads. really yummy.

i would love to take a few days to drive down and explore other areas but vacation is just so long and i hate the packing and unpacking.

got in two bike rides----loved the feel of the wind in my hair.

not nearly enough loving but all in all, a great time.
