sammiealice's blog post - snow storm of the year

well, tuesday the newspapers were all about snow, world will end, people buying snow shovels (little late i thought), stocking up on food, forcast is for 6 to 8 inches. work opened late, schools were closed---omg. and worst of all--temps between 32 to 40. omg, blizzar conditions.

it rained, it was raw and windy. but snow, i am still waiting. i had read the noaa (for my non usa friends, that is the national weather service) for our area. monday it said 2 to 3 inches, tuesday it was 1 to 2 inches. but always temps above 32. media says blizzard--noaa says nucance.

i woke up, looked at rain, 37 degrees, got in the car, got to work and we were closed for the day because of the "blizzard".

why does the media insist on the hype. it only creates a dumber population. and then when there is a problem, no one listens.

if you want to watch a horror movie, watch "idiocracy" (like i spelled that right). that shows the generation that our media is creating.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to all.

I have found the best reports come the day after telling me what I needed to know yesterday LOLZ I usually 1. look out the window 2. step out to check the temp, 3. dress from there thats my weather forecast hahahaha
