seshat's blog post - My kingdom for some heat

If I was ever convinced of having to insulate our roof, it's now... It's 10 degrees outside (not excessively cold) but I'm freezing. The living room is okay, but our second floor (bedrooms, bathroom, desks) is a bit "nippy", all the heat is escaping through the roof.

Coupled with a bathroom without a bathtub (I really don't like showers), I'm actually considering going to a sauna/spa! Me, who hates heat... And as I'm also not so fond of showing skin in public, that leaves only private saunas.

Coincidence has it that there's a sauna just a few blocks away smile Downside is that it costs around 100 euros/2 hours/2 people... For something I'm not even sure I'll like (I've never been to a sauna, hot tubs/jacuzzis I love though)...

That reminds me, I REALLY need to find my gloves in what's left of our moving boxes, I spent 25 minutes waiting for a bus yesterday and my fingers were not grateful smile

Ooh! Please stay warm. If necessary, burn documents. :-)

I can truly sympathise. With my treatment I'm cold Most of the time. You should insulate the loft. It's not hard and does not take long. I used to dislike sauna's but now I love them. I had it as part of my membership for swimming. Try it and after a while you might too. :-)
