At lunch I once ate some leftovers from the previous dinner, including Brussels sprouts.
A colleague says "Oh, I wouldn't have taken you for someone who likes sprouts"
Today I talked about the dinner party I organised last Saturday, a pretty elaborate menu.
The same colleague says: "Oh, I wouldn't have thought you were that culinary a person"
Well, I guess I'm supposed to take that as "Oh, I thought fat people didn't eat veggies and only bought take-away junk food"? Some people...
Btw, the menu last Saturday was:
Starter/hors d'oeuvres: cebiche - salmon mousse and lumpfish caviar on toast - devilled crab cakes (cajun)
Entree: sweet and sour porc with chocolate, red wine vinegar, pine nuts and raisins
Dessert: (my old favorite) pecan and almond pie
And I'm having some friends over next Saturday too, now to figure out another menu... |
