She drifts off into a deep slumber .. as the moonlight casts soft hues against her face ... she begins to settle into a dreamy state ...

A hand gently touches her shoulder ... then begins to move down to her fingertips .. caressing the softness in her hand .. captivated by her sheer beauty .. the beauty of her inner soul .. he moves in and kisses her neck tenderly ... she stirs ... he pushes back a few strands of hair ... staring upon her ... in depth .. consumed by her. Inhaling of her sweet aroma and becoming intoxicated, he whispers sweet loving words into the crisp night air.

Her hand that once felt warmth .. now feels cold. She watches a dark image walking away from her .. letting go of her hand. Her heart stops. Time stands still. Where could he have gone? Why would he leave? She becomes restless .. an uneasiness in the pit of her stomach .. He had said he would always be with her .. yet she can not see him.

Her mind wanders as she begins to wake .. warm sunlight caresses the frame of her body .. she turns to her side to see a single flower .... a beautiful pink orchid ... bringing it to her nose .. inhaling its sweet perfume ... she also notices a piece of paper .. turning to her back .. she unfolds the tiny note ..

"Tho you may not be able to see me .. I am there."
A smile comes across her lips ... as she holds the tender flower against her chest.


At times we may not see it with our eyes .. but it's there, unknowingly within our heart.
